| New member added to the team - Welcome aboard Marg! |
|
Marg is the latest member of the Benchmark team. A long-time BMW rider, her first BMW was a 1969 R60/2. She now has a custom painted R90/6 largely converted to R90S standards, which has more than 400,000 km on the odometer.
Like Bob, she is a long-distance, high-mileage rider, touring throughout North America and enjoying attending many rallies starting in 1974. Marg also was a long-time member of the BMW RA serving as trustee and vice-president. |

| 3rd Annual Open House |
|
We'd like to thank all those who made it to our 3rd Annual Open House. It was a complete success with total attendance reaching just under 100! It's getting bigger every year. We raised almost $300 for cancer reseach from our lunch donations. Special thanks to Jen and Scott for handling the catering.
Bob gave a great tech session about 5 speed transmission rebuilding which interested many. Bob then lead a spirited ride through the county - Wow can Mike Baker ever push that great sidecar rig of his!
We're already planning for 2009 (date not confirmed yet) and want to really turn this annual event into a full-out rally. If you have any suggestions we'd love to here from you. |
