Sean Weaver
Co-owner / Restoration Mechanic
Here’s a guy who’s really dedicated to keeping Vintage and Classic BMWs on the road. In the past year alone he’s put his restoration/service skills to work for clients from British Columbia to Newfoundland.
In the shop, Sean is the pre-‘70 restoration specialist his major interest is the real veteran Beemers the older the better. Current projects include a 1939 R12 and a 1943 R75 military but he’s a /2 fan and there’s usually at least a few in his area of the shop.
A 20 year career as the photographer for the Art Gallery of Ontario, Sean crafted his eye for detail and perfection. During this time he always dreamt of owning his own BMW shop - that dream came true in 2004.
"If you don't do it right - it's not worth doing", is often heard coming from Sean - a true perfectionist.
Besides being an excellent mechanic he is a skilled painter and bodyman. So passionate about getting it right that he has taken the time to learn old school techniques, like the use of lead filler instead of fiberglass.
In the past couple of years due to work load Sean has limited his riding to mandatory 100 km test rides on all the bikes before they are returned to customers. This year, however, he insists on attending several weekend vintage BMW rallies.
A keen member of the BMW “community,” Sean is the Eastern Canadian Regional Director of the Vintage BMW Motorcycle Owners Club, a member of the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group and the BMWMOA.
He lives in Toronto with wife Teri, two-year-old twins Sierra and Spencer and “Beemer” the over- weight Boston Terrier.
